Show Notes:
Tapping into the lucrative tourism market for rural producers is a serious opportunity for opportunity for those on the land.

The reasons for starting a tourism business might be drought mitigation, evening out cashflow, supporting succession, servicing debt, paying boarding school fees or just savvy producers taking advantage of a unique business opportunity.

The problem is, it’s easy to identify an opportunity but difficult to get a viable business up and running. Producers are time poor, more often than not lack the experience and don’t know where to start.

My guest today is Susan Lee from CV Consult, a tourism consultant with significant experience in regional and remote tourism in Australia.

Susan has a book coming out soon which is a practical guide to starting your own tourism business. It’s designed to give families the short cuts to identifying, assessing and navigating the start-up of a successful tourism business.
